About Me

Hi my name is Brendan Read and I am a Masters student from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. I am passionate about the use of Web 2.0 technologies and how businesses can utilise these technologies to better enhance their personal branding.

I have worked previously in the areas of IT security and IT investigations for the Queensland Police Service in their High Tech Crime Investigation Unit.

I have a keen interest in Web 2.0 applications and how they can be implemented into a commercial environment. I see web 2.0 as a great challenge for businesses to take on in the future and believe it is an invaluable tool to share experiences and views with other members in the online community. My previous focus has always been on security in web applications but I have a new focus of implementing web 2.0 applications in the commercial sector. My site will endeavour to provide exciting and insightful blogs on a number of topics related to Web 2.0 and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
